Assembler is not exclusive to people who have been writing code for decades.
Since a computer’s behavior is fundamentally defined by its instruction set, a greater understanding of assembler can be a key tool in further understanding of how computer’s work and how your programs operate.
System z assembler is especially interesting because it helps z programmers on any operating system really understand what the mainframe can do. This session will look at assembler from the perspective of a young mainframer. It will talk about the value of assembler to new programmers and how to get started with this powerful way to use System Z.-Michael Cataldo-IBM
