CICS ... It's Not Just COBOL: Java Support

COBOL dominates the CICS application development landscape having largely replaced ASM as the language of choice. However, over the last decade IBM has been advocating & investing in Java, and more recently dynamic scripting, culminating in the new CICS V4.2 JVM Server container. This session will describe how to respond to increasing demand for agility in the application life-cycle by taking advantage of improvements in language, runtime and the development environment while balancing investments in existing code & skills.
