CICS has supported Web services since release 3.1. Since that time many of the tools have been upgraded to support additional functions and features. This presentation covers the four options for creating a CICS Web services provider application using the tooling provided as part of CICS and through the use of Rational Developer for System Z (RDz). Next, the two options for creating Web services requestor applications for consuming Web services created by others. Finally, a discussion of options available for debugging Web services will be discussed.
