Comparison of z Systems Virtualization Choices

Up until just recently, doing virtualization on z Systems was rather straightforward. Your choices were z/VM virtual machine, or native LPAR. In the past year, the range of choices has grown substantially. Now you have to choose between z/VM, LPAR, KVM, and docker. This presentation will survey the strengths and weaknesses of each of these choices, and also provide some basic recommendations to help in your decision making.-Richard Lewis-IBM Corporation
