Working with the z/VM user directory can be a daunting task, especially for a new z/VM user. Problems are typically faced when allocating minidisk space. There are potential pitfalls for incorrectly specifying allocation values that can lead to disaster. A directory manager can solve problems of this nature by automating the allocation of disk space and making sure there are no disk overlaps.
This session shows how to set up z/VM's Dirmaint directory manager and demonstrates how to use it effectively.
