IBM's Workload Manager (WLM) goal mode looks at the big picture and manages to the average performance of all address spaces in the service class -- which means critical workloads can sometimes fall through the cracks. Monitoring these address spaces can be tedious if you don't know what to look for or what the problem might be. This session will cover managing service classes, general techniques for detecting whether your online workload is missing its goals and how to keep a closer eye on critical workloads with OMEGAMON XE on z/OS.
Presenter(s): Donald Zeunert, IBM Corporation
