The RACF security server enables a higher level of security for your z/VM system; but how does it change your system?  RACF may seem like a "black box" to z/VM system programmers because it has its own terminology and set of commands that must be learned to create a secure system.  This session will open the box by explaining RACF/VM terms; basic settings; how RACF interacts with CP; how you interact with RACF; and give you some suggestions on how to set up your system with RACF.  New features in RACF for z/VM 6.3 and SSI systems are also highlighted.-Bruce Hayden-IBM Corporation
