More and more, mainframe systems programmers are being asked to install and manage Linux on their mainframes. They have years of experience in installing and managing 'traditional' IBM mainframe operating systems such as MVS and VM, but they don't know where to start with Linux. Installation is covered by other sessions, so this one will concentrate instead on 'translating' typical system management tasks to the mainframe Linux environment by comparing and contrasting the familiar with the new.-Mark Post-SUSE
