Data set encryption provides a simple, transparent and consumable approach to enable extensive encryption of data at rest on disk through DFSMS access methods without application changes. z/OS V2.4 continues to drive pervasive encryption efforts with support for additional z/OS data set types, including PDSE and sequential basic format and large format SMS-managed data sets. With actual programming examples, learn how you can leverage this new support to encrypt data with no, or minimal changes, and how applications using EXCP can encrypt data using a new access method encryption callable service.
