In z/OS V2.2 SMF provided the ability to generate digital signatures for SMF records written to log streams. This function is intended to help you detect unauthorized alterations to recorded SMF data. This support is intended to provide a more trusted repository for the auditing records created by a number of z/OS system components. There have been some functional improvements as well as setup recommendations based on feedback from the field. This session will fill you in on what a digital signature is and how to implement this support in SMF.-Anthony Sofia-IBM Corporation
