Real-time analytics is all about leveraging the power of analytics to achieve more favorable outcomes for transactional events -- while those events are in progress. Because time is of the essence; maximizing the benefits of real-time analytics involves analyzing data where it "lives;" i.e.; where it is created and managed. When transactional data lives on mainframe servers; that means doing real-time analytics on the z Systems platform.
This session will provide information on the IBM hardware and software technologies that enable real-time analytics on z Systems servers; the capabilities of these technologies; and ways in which real-time analytics can be put to effective -- and transformational -- use within a z Systems-based application infrastructure.
Topics include: • SPSS for predictive analytics.
• DB2 Analytics Accelerator (IDAA) for high-performance querying of very large databases.
• IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) for agile and consistent deployment and invocation of business rules.
• IBM BigInsights ("differently structured" data in a Hadoop-managed repository)
• Broadly speaking; almost any topic pertaining to z Systems analytics.
