Over recent years; large mainframe organizations have suffered prolonged downtime due to errors that crept into the systems and were only exposed when the system was IPLed.
This session will present a method of how to IPL and bring up a mirror of a production system so that changes introduced that might impact availability are exposed immediately after they are introduced. rather than months later at the next IPL.
The method utilizes the following technologies: BCPii; Advanced DASD features; Automation software and job scheduling software.
