With the increasing use of Virtual Tape and the increasing cost of maintenance for optical hardware, many System z customers are finding it cost beneficial to move their OAM primary data to Virtual Tape.  However, the path required to make that transition is not easy or clearly defined.  This presentation provides a framework for understanding what is involved and how to go about making that transition as well as migrating existing OAM Primary data to Virtual Tape.-Tom Moulder-EMC Corporation
