CICS TS V5 enables this ‘2-speed’ or ‘Bimodal’ IT approach; by allowing customers to run multiple different releases of CICS TS V5.x concurrently; whilst managing them as a cohesive whole. Customer can add new ‘Mobile Owning Regions’; ‘Java Owning Regions’ or ‘Web Owning Regions’ using CICS TS V5.3; whilst retaining the remainder of their infrastructure at CICS TS V5.1 or V5.2 level.
