The new IBM z/OS Management Facility (z/OSMF) product requires a Websphere Application Server runtime as part of it's implementation. This is the WAS OEM Edition. If you are new to the WebSphere Application Server, and are wondering what this thing is you are now running on your z/OS system, this session is designed to enlighten you. Topics to be covered include an overview of WAS, the address space configuration,  starting and stopping the servers, deploying the z/OSMF applications into the runtime, what is unique about the WAS OEM Edition, performance, and running WAS OEM with regular WAS in the same LPAR.
