Many enterprises have a heavily mixed environment including zSeries mainframe, UNIX, Linux and Windows. You will see how ASG-PERFMAN can be used to model mainframe changes, such as CPU capping, zIIP utilization and workload. In addition an overview of Virtualization of Intel based servers and desktops. For the capacity planner, the challenges are evolving almost as fast as new devices are appearing. This presentation will delve into some of the challenges of managing a large organization with mixed platforms and will discuss the environment from a performance and capacity perspective.
