We see the topic of "batch modernization" coming up more and more.  A part of that is writing batch programs in Java, but it includes other things as well.  In this session we'll take a look at the motiviations behind batch modernization, review different approaches to Java batch, and then look at IBM's WAS-based batch execution platform solution.
