The speaker will share the experience his team went through during an upgrade from SLES 9 SP3 to SLES11 SP1 - and at the same time replacing a z9 processor with a new zEnterprise machine.  The planning, the roadblocks, the workarounds and the 80 day incredible team effort ..  from toleration maintenance to 3 z/VM lpars and 85 linux guests upgraded and residing on a z196 processor.
