As security and regulatory compliance requirements become more stringent, many enterprises are deploying network security protocols such as Transport Layer Security (TLS)  to protect their mission-critical data as it crosses the network. However, the programming and configuration changes required for TLS enablement have historically been costly and time consuming.  z/OS Communications Server's Application Transparent Transport Layer Security (AT-TLS) feature can greatly reduce TLS deployment cost and complexity by removing the need for application code changes and by standardizing TLS configuration across z/OS applications and middleware.
This session will explain how AT-TLS works and provide an example of configuring AT-TLS for a typical z/OS application using the Configuration Assistant for z/OS Communications Server.-Chris Meyer-IBM Corporation
