The speaker will present results from the z/OS performance tests for z/OS V1.12 and V1.13. The Poughkeepsie performance team uses a set of workloads (LSPR and others) to do regression tests as well as exploring new performance functions in a release and these results are used to validate the performance of the release. This session will go through the performance content in the recent z/OS releases and the results from the performance tests. Some of the special performance studies that will be covered are improvements to open of large number of data sets and the SVC dump performance improvements.
