z/OS UNIX Shared File System Configuration - Overview and New Features

		In this session, the speaker will briefly  describe the setup and benefits of shared file system support in z/OS UNIX  System Services.  This will include basic sysplex and shared file system  concepts including file system configuration and multiple releases in one  sharing group.  Next the speaker will discuss file system ownership, file system  management, file system movement during planned and unplanned outages, and the  availability of file system in shared file system configuration.  In addition,  the speaker will discuss how you can fail-safe the sysplex root file system in  shared file system configuration.  The speaker will discuss the zFS support  introduced in z/OS Release 1.11 and later releases.   The speaker will show  examples of z/OS UNIX commands and zFS commands and explain how they are used in  this configuration.   This session will be of interest to system programmers and  system administrators who currently support shared file system configuration in  their installations.
